Mission
Reno Food Systems grows organic produce on a working farm in the heart of Reno, supplies local restaurants and CSA members, and runs hands-on education programs for the community.
Problem they address
Most urban residents have no working relationship with the place their food comes from, weakening both consumer demand for local food and the case for protecting farmland.
How they contribute
A live demonstration that high-quality, water-conscious agriculture is possible inside the city, and a teaching ground that turns visitors into informed eaters and advocates.
